This venture is a fintech lending platform at its earliest stage. We are looking for a Co-Founder & Chief Risk Officer to help build it, shaping the credit risk philosophy, designing risk frameworks, owning regulatory engagement, and sitting at the founding table as a true partner in building a scalable, tech-driven lending business in Saudi Arabia

THE ROLE What you'll own here.

• Act as a core member of the founding team, shaping company strategy, structure, and long-term direction.

• Design and implement the end-to-end risk management framework tailored to fintech lending operations.

• Lead the development of credit risk models, including PD, LGD, and EAD, as well as scoring algorithms and decisioning systems using traditional and alternative data.

• Own and manage the relationship with regulators, including SAMA, ensuring full compliance and proactive alignment.

• Monitor portfolio performance, define risk appetite, and implement early warning systems for credit deterioration.

• Build systems and processes to mitigate operational, fraud, and reputational risks.

• Partner closely with co-founders and product, technology, and data teams to embed risk controls seamlessly into the product experience.

• Align risk strategy with capital efficiency, unit economics, and growth objectives.

• Establish governance frameworks and report on risk KPIs and strategy to investors and the board.

THE PROFILE You're probably a fit if…

• You have 10+ years of experience in senior risk roles within fintech or financial services, ideally in consumer or SME lending.

• You have built or scaled a risk function from the ground up and understand what it takes to operate in a zero-to-one environment.

• You bring deep expertise in credit modeling, scoring, portfolio monitoring, and risk technology.

• You have strong knowledge of Saudi financial regulations and are confident in owning regulator relationships.

• You have worked with fintech lending models such as BNPL, RNPL, microlending, or trade finance.

• You can clearly communicate complex risk concepts to partners, regulators, and non-risk stakeholders.

• You have a true co-founder mindset, high ownership, entrepreneurial drive, and a genuine motivation to build from scratch.

• You are a Saudi national; this role is open to Saudi nationals only.
